Delhi [India], March 15, 2025: Chennai Smashers will lock horns with Lucknow Lions in the Qualifier 1 of the ongoing season 2 of Entertainers Cricket League 2025 being played here at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi on Saturday.
Kolkata Superstars and Bangalore Bashers will face off each other in the Eliminator on the same day. The Qualifier 1 will begin at 3pm while the Eliminator will begin at 6pm.
The loser of Qualifier 1 and winner of Eliminator will play in the Qualifier 2 at 9pm on Saturday. The final of Entertainers Cricket League 2025 will be played on Sunday at 9pm.
On Friday, Kolkata Superstars secured their place in the playoffs with a crucial six-wicket victory over Chennai Smashers. With the league stage now concluded, Chennai Smashers topped the standings, followed by Lucknow Lions, Kolkata Superstars, and Bangalore Bashers. Haryana Hunters narrowly missed out on qualification despite earning eight points.
Rajasthan Rangers have been the biggest disappoint of the season as they couldn’t win a single match. Harsh Beniwal and Munawar Faruqui proved that they cannot excel in cricket matches and making strategies as their respective team Dynamic Delhi and Mumbai Disruptors performed poorly in the league.
However, the season saw its fair share of disappointments, with Rajasthan Rangers failing to win a single match. Dynamic Delhi and Mumbai Disruptors, led by social media personalities Harsh Beniwal and Munawar Faruqui, also struggled, proving that cricket requires more than just online presence—it demands skill, strategy, and execution.
The Entertainers Cricket League (ECL) is an electrifying T10 format competition where each team gets 10 overs (60 balls) to rack up as many runs as possible. Unlike traditional formats, all matches are played with a tennis ball, making the game more accessible and reducing the risk of injuries.
The tournament follows a round-robin format, where all eight teams compete against each other before the top four advance to the playoffs. A total of 32 matches are played throughout the season, culminating in an action-packed final.
